1. Camera and photos
Camera or photo-library access is requested only when you choose a scan or import. You choose which image to submit. Perfect Produce does not collect contacts, location, microphone audio, or unrelated photo-library content.
2. Requested cloud analysis
When cloud analysis is available, a bounded, normalized image and the request context needed for the selected produce feature are sent securely to Kortex's analysis service, which may use Google Cloud and Gemini. The service returns structured comparison results, does not use images to train models, and is designed to discard temporary image inputs rather than keep a scan-history photo.
3. Local records and deletion
Scan results, inventory, outcome feedback, settings, language, and exports are stored locally in SQLite. Photos are not stored in scan history. You can export or delete records and use the app's delete controls; clearing app data removes local records from the device.
4. Advertising and diagnostics
Consent-gated Google Mobile Ads may process device or advertising information on eligible surfaces; Amazon builds disable ads. Crashlytics may receive limited technical diagnostics such as app version, build, route, feature, and generic error context, excluding photos and result content.
5. Your choices
You can deny camera or photo access, use local-only features when cloud analysis is unavailable, decline ads, export records, or delete local data. Results are visual comparisons, not food-safety, allergy, nutrition, pathogen, pesticide, or medical advice.
