DreamQuiet

Privacy Policy

DreamQuiet is designed to keep overnight audio and sleep-aid records on your device.

1. What DreamQuiet stores

DreamQuiet does not require an account, cloud sync, cloud transcription, HealthKit, or Health Connect. Overnight audio is recorded and analyzed locally in the app's private, backup-excluded storage. A successful analysis removes the temporary full-session recording after clips are extracted. A failed analysis may keep that temporary recording for retry for no more than 24 hours, and you can delete it sooner.

Ordinary event clips expire after seven days. Clips you mark Keep remain until you delete them. Favorites, playlists, downloads, settings, and your chosen language are stored locally. Delete All Data removes local sessions, clips, favorites, playlists, and downloads while preserving only the interface language.

2. Microphone and sharing

The microphone is used only when you start room-sound monitoring. It hears the whole room and cannot determine whether a sound came from you, another person, a pet, a television, or sleep-aid playback. DreamQuiet does not transcribe speech, identify people, calculate a medical score, diagnose sleep apnea, or provide medical advice.

Sharing a clip is explicit and user initiated. DreamQuiet does not upload audio for analysis or advertising.

3. Crash reporting and advertising

Crashlytics may receive limited technical diagnostics needed to identify crashes and improve stability: package ID, app version, build code, route, feature, and generic technical error codes. Crash reports do not include audio, clip names, session times, classifier output, advertising identifiers, or user-entered data.

Google Mobile Ads may process device or advertising information to display and measure non-personalized browse-only ads on Library and History screens. Microphone, sleep, health, playback, and event data are not used for ad targeting. These providers process information under their own policies.

4. Your choices and deletion

You can deny or revoke microphone access in device settings, avoid monitoring, delete individual clips, use Delete All Data, or stop using optional advertising surfaces. Data sent to a provider for crash reporting or ad delivery is handled under that provider's terms; DreamQuiet does not sell your personal information.
