1. Location permission
Kortex Trails may request foreground location permission to show your position on the map and help you explore nearby routes. Location access is optional; the app remains usable without granting it, though map positioning may be limited. We do not intentionally sell or use precise location for advertising.
2. Trail and map data
When you explore an area, the app sends the visible map region to the OpenStreetMap Overpass API to retrieve mapped cycleways and bicycle-accessible paths. The provider may process the request under its own policies and service limits. Kortex does not operate the underlying map database.
3. Local app data
The current app has no account-creation flow. Preferences, language choices, and future saved-route data are intended to remain on your device unless a later feature clearly explains a cloud sync. You can remove local app data by uninstalling the app or using your device settings.
4. Third-party services
The app may rely on Apple or Google map components, OpenStreetMap data services, app stores, and device location services. These providers have separate terms and privacy policies. Kortex does not control their availability or data practices.
5. Security and changes
We use encrypted connections for supported network requests. No internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely risk-free. We may update this policy as the app changes; the newest version will be posted here.
