1. Introduction
Kortex Contacts ("the App") is developed with a strict commitment to your privacy. The App operates as a local-only utility for organizing, clean-formatting, and resolving duplicates in your address book. We believe your personal data is yours alone.
2. 100% On-Device Processing
Core operations performed by the App—including scanning your contacts list, detecting duplicate entries, matching phonetic names, and correcting formatting layouts—are executed entirely on your physical device. If you explicitly enable an online CRM sync, selected records are transmitted through the configured CRM gateway only to perform that requested sync.
3. Permissions We Request
To deliver local features, the App requests access to the following device components:
- Contacts Access: Necessary to read, organize, format, and merge contacts within your device's address book. If you explicitly enable HubSpot sync, selected records may be sent through the CRM gateway.
- Camera Access: Optional, used exclusively if you scan paper business cards to extract text details locally onto a contact card.
- Photo Library: Optional, used strictly to let you pick and apply custom contact avatar photos where the platform requests photo access.
- File/Document Import: Optional, used only when you choose a CSV or TXT file through the system document picker. Kortex does not request broad storage access for this feature.
4. Optional Online Services
The core mobile contact-cleaning features run on your device. If you choose to use optional Pro web, licensing, payment, or CRM features, limited information is processed to provide those features:
- Licensing and payments: Apple, Google, Amazon, Stripe, and RevenueCat may process purchase, subscription, or transaction information under their own privacy policies. We do not receive your full payment-card number.
- CRM connections: If you intentionally connect HubSpot, the selected CRM records are sent through our server-side gateway to perform the requested sync. We do not use those records for advertising.
- Web portal: The portal may process a license key, session identifier, or email address needed to authenticate access.
We do not sell contact data or use contact records for advertising or profiling.
5. Security and Retention
We use access controls and encrypted connections for online services. Contact data used for a requested CRM operation is not intentionally retained as a separate contact database by Kortex. You can stop using online features and request assistance by contacting support.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be published directly on this web page. Your continued use of the App following any updates signifies your acceptance of these changes.
